Method of Sale: Pick Your Own, On Farm Sales
We are a small family owned farm, off the beaten track, that offers a casual environment for picking blueberries. Our field is not pristine and is more like picking wild high bush blueberries. You might encounter an occasional deer passing through, a turkey jumping up to grab berries off the lower limbs or singing birds snatching berries off of the upper limbs. We enjoy having children of all ages here to learn the value of picking fresh and healthy food while spending time with their family.
We specialize in rabbit-eye blueberries which is a type developed for our southern climate. Our blueberries are usually available the 2nd or 3rd week in June (call to check) and go until the 2nd week in August (call to check). We do not sell pre-picked blueberries, WE ARE PESTICIDE FREE.
We are open daily 6:30 am to 11:00 am and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm or call for appointment. We allow you to pick wherever you choose but we will suggest areas that are not over-picked if you ask.
We do have friendly, rescued dogs who love to greet our pickers. Be sure to bring water to drink and bug spray for the chiggers. Best Suggestion: come early in the morning, late afternoon or evening when it is a little cooler to pick. We are wheelchair accessible. We also have local honey available for sale. Raw milk for pets is nearby.
